Tsuru for Japanese, symbolize longevity and luck. They were thought to live a thousand years and are monogamous by nature. These traits mirror being able to have a long life and be lucky enough to see your many fortunes and fruition's come through. Tsuru are often seen as a gift or symbol of luck at weddings, wishing the couple many years to come. It is when one gives or hopes for luck for another being, does luck truly shine upon you.
