Being Uchinanchu is a world of its own.  Our people are joyful, proud, family-oriented and love life. For as many things that have happen to Okinawa and the culture of the ryukyu people, we always make sure to let people know who we are. 
Our Japanese AND Okinawan shirt makes a pleasant distinction to two different ethnicities. Many of us in hawaii have both, as do we, but many still don’t know that they are very much two different.
